We are pleased to invite you to the launch event of the Uniservitate Award 2022: Service-Learning Experiences in Catholic Higher Education. This is a new initiative of the Global programme that gives it its identity, aims to give visibility toand promote quality service-learning practices (SL) carried out in all Catholic Higher Education institutions around the world.
The Award seeks to recognise experiences that demonstrate effective contributions to the solution of socio-environmental problems, identified and addressed in solidarity with community organisations and recipients; with active student participation at all stages of the project; and a clear articulation between service and educational planning that includes specific
links to the curriculum, skills development opportunities, reflection and research.
In this way we hope to contribute to install and strengthen the institutionalisation of SL pedagogy, empower projects, inspire, build bridges and weave networks, so we encourage all Catholic institutions that have developed or are developing service-learning projects and/or
programmes between January 2019 and April 2022 to join the event, to learn how to present and share their valuable experiences.
In the framework of the launching, all the information and the submission guidelines to participate in this recognition will be extended. The Award will distribute € 84.000 (euros) in prizes among the winning experiences in each region of the world.
